How we work is about to change

We founded Anymate in 2019 – after years of building automation and automation departments in Finance, Business Process Outsourcing, Logistics, Consultancy, and in the Industry.

We were there back when RPA ran on an old laptop in the server room, and chaos broke loose when someone accidentally pulled the charger plug. We also sat in the meeting room when someone found out that a robot has been doing its job wrong – 8000 times in the core ERP system 😐

ROBOTS ARE BRITTLE

We always needed a tool that was accessible for colleagues outside IT. We kept ending up with way too much support with really simple questions like:

Has the robots run today?

We changed our SOP, can you change this value?

The robots aren’t working

This is not the fault of the front workers since the tools out there is designed for IT – not for Business. You can’t talk stack tracing and Object reference not set to an instance of an object with Business and expect them to understand that it is because they didn’t fill in a date-field somewhere.

But the sad truth is that the vast majority of errors in Automation is because the users use it wrong. Wrong data, wrong order in a larger work flow, failed human steps before starting the robot, bad specification that leaves out key details. Each error means another hour of developer time in finding out what they did wrong this time.

Anymate is scratching the itch. We took each and every service request and asked outselves:

AUTOMATION AT SCALE

The cure is not to let business into the orchestration systems – these only end up right back in IT when Business can’t figure the complexity.

The cure is a user interface to Business where they can manage their own automated jobs, and be proactive and flexible in how they perform their work.

Then developers can do quality service when something actually breaks.
